A Summer Holiday in London
Most people expect me to go on holiday in the summer to a hot country somewhere in the Med, but this year I decided to do something a bit different. I was sick and tired of spending my whole seek lying on a beach doing nothing, and I really felt like I hadn’t explored all there was to see in my own back yard. Because of this I decided that I would take a weeks’ holiday in London!
London is an amazing place, and there is so much to see. I had been there many times before, but I still felt like I hadn’t seen the half of it. Most of my trips to the capital tend to be for a day or two here and there, and it is really difficult to take much in in that short space of time.
This time around I had a full week, and I holed myself up in a lovely little hotel just between Leicester Square and Covent Garden. This was a perfect location for me, because I wanted to make a couple of trips to the theatre and I also wanted to explore Chinatown which was also nearby.
Chinatown turned out to be absolutely fascinating, and I had some wonderful meals down there. The theatre was great, and in particular I enjoyed the lion king theatre performance enormously.
All in all I had a fantastic holiday in London, and it showed me that there is more than getting a tan when it comes to going on holiday!
